Ash was in an Apple Costume that Misty and Tracy made for him 

as a Bait for Snorlax to follow him in the Episode called "Pokemon Food Fight". 

But Ash told Misty to get him out of the Apple Costume. 

Snorlax was looking at an Apple with Ash in it. 

Snorlax was chasing Ash in an Apple Costume! 

See? After Snorlax bit an Apple Costume that Ash was wearing 

then it cries and it accidentally dropped Ash 

in an Apple Costume on the Ground. 

Pikachu opened a Door of the Apple Costume and Ash was out.
