You know, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh were based on Japan 

in the real World like 

Nato, Johto and Hoenn were based on Honsho of Japan 

and Sinnoh was based on Hokkaido in Japan. 

Unova was based on New York City, New York, in the United States. 

Kalos was based on France in Europe. 

Alola was based on Hawaii.
